Short, Blonde, and Handsome! Isn’t that how the saying goes? In this little pony’s world, it sure does! Y’all meet Mater! Yes, like the Disney movie, Cars. “Tuh-Mater” without the “Tuh” ……. And if you think the Mater in the movie was funny, this little fella gives him a run for his money!
Mater is an absolutely precious 10 year old silver dapple pony gelding that stands at a perfect height of 10.2 hands tall and is as wide and thick as you feel after going back for seconds on Thanksgiving! Mater has all the looks you could ever ask for with his long flaxen mane and tail, big vibrant dapples, beautiful bald face, and bright white stockings that make him look like he has been out for a stroll in the fresh winter snow! Yes, Mater is an absolutely gorgeous pony gelding but he definitely is not just all looks….his personality and demeanor are equally as great as the beautiful package he is wrapped in! Mater has got to be one of the absolute funniest, most expressive ponies we have ever had the pleasure of owning. The term “in your pocket” is not nearly accurate enough for just how friendly little Mater is! You might as well just put him in the yard with your dogs because he will be the one to greet you at the door every morning and be waiting for you to come home from work in evening. He is such a little joy each and every day! Mater also is no stranger to coming in the house and making himself feel right at home! There is no place that is off limits for this cutie pie! Mater is also a fan of getting all the pampering he can possibly get, from taking a nice bubbly bath all the way down to getting his hooves trimmed, he stands like a perfect gentleman and enjoys every second of the attention.
Although Mater is an absolutely precious pony on the ground, that is not his only selling points, he is also a great little riding pony! Mater has been used as a leadline pony with beginner babies as young as 20 months old and also for kids that are already riding independently. Mater is a great fit for both! He is the type of pony that you can put the baby on and slow poke around leading him and the older kids can also go take him to work with dad and keep up! Mater is the perfect all around addition to a family wanting something for all the kids to play with and not worry that they will get hurt! Our son rides his dirtbikes, fourwheelers, and side by sides all around Mater and he couldn’t care less. He is also no stranger to heavy equipment such as bull dozers and backhoes making tons of loud noises moving dirt & rocks from here to there all while he stands about 20-30 feet away just eagerly watching! Mater has seen it all and doesn’t bat an eye!
