IMA SONOFA SONOFAGUN aka “Pistol” is 2018 AQHA gelding that’s stands 14.3 hands tall and is made right! I don’t even really know where to begin with this gelding he’s just that’s extra special! He is bred to be great! Pistol is one of our favorites at the ranch right now. This is the kind of gelding we all look for and rarely find. Pistol has been started and used correctly his entire life and he does everything with grace and a quiet mind no matter what is asked of him. Our 17 yr old daughter has started him in break away and he’s really coming along nicely. He stays quiet in the box 24/7 and level headed and really wants to stop for you. Good break away prospects are hard to get your hands on these days. He has been used by her as well to do all our ranch chores and will even babysit my 5 yr old when he’s done, he’s just that Gentle and quiet! Pistol is a solid citizen out on the trails as well. He is extra careful with his feet and doesn’t panic when put in a sticky situation. He absolutely loves the water and we have yet to find anything that spooks this sweet gelding. He will quietly find his way through thick brush and muddy bottoms while keeping his rider safe. Pistol never gets hot and is happy to go as fast or as slow as his rider asks. He has been used to pack colts around as well. This gelding is EVERYONE suitable! He will fit anyone who is lucky enough to own him. Pistol will go on and fit any discipline you decide to stick him in and he will do it well. He is easy to catch, groom, and bathe even for the littlest rider and will seek out all the attention your willing to give him. He’s been to town to get coffee, will happily walk into the feed store with you and go home and be ready to do whatever job you have for him that day.
